This month, distribution of 1,30,000 LLINs in 319 villages was initiated by the District Malaria Office to replace the same
number of LLINs distributed in the year 2016-17. MEDP actively supported the distribution by organizing on-spot IEC/BCC campaigns for usage and storage of bed nets. MEDP will initiate a post-distribution usage survey in the coming months.

Indoor Residual Spray round 2 begins with supportive supervision from MEDP
The second round of Indoor Residual Spray in 26 high-risk villages was initiated by the District Malaria Office from September 1, 2020. MEDP participated in the planning of the IRS in these villages and communicated the spray dates and plans in-advance to the community members. Supportive supervision is being provided by MEDP using the IRS monitoring tool developed by the project. Special emphasis is being placed on strict adherence to COVID-19 social distancing and infection control protocols.
