MEDP invited to HBHI meeting in Bhopal.
March 13 to 16 2019 – MEDP was invited to the Meeting on High Burden to High Impact (HBHI) approach on malaria and program review of Vector Borne Diseases being held at Courtyard by Marriott in Bhopal. The meeting was organized by NVBDCP and WHO Country Office for India.
States having high burden of malaria presented their challenges and plans to tackle the disease using HBHI approached. MEDP presented a session on solutions for these challenges using their learnings from Mandla. The session was very well received and state programmes were advised to replicate learnings from MEDP wherever possible.

Awards ceremony conducted to facilitate best performing field staff of MEDP.
An awards ceremony was conducted for outstanding performance by field staff in various categories on May 11 2019 at Kingfisher Hotel in Mandla. A total of 4 awards for Malaria Field Coordinators, 10 awards for Village Malaria Workers, and one Best Cluster Award were announced in categories ranging from monitoring and supervision, attendance, efforts in T4 surveillance, efforts in IEC/BCC practices, team management skills, efforts in hardship areas, use of software tools etc.

Seventh Entomological visit by ICMR NIRTH
As part of the operational plan of MEDP, the seventh entomological visit by ICMR NIRTH was successfully concluded from May 1 to 6 2019 by a team led by Dr. A K Mishra, Scientist E. Resting indoor hand catches, pyrethrum spray catches, light trap catches and human landing collections were performed during this visit.
