Indoor Residual Spray (IRS) round one begins in Mandla district.
The first round of Indoor Residual Spray in 26 high-risk villages was initiated by the District Malaria Office from June 16, 2020 to July 31, 2020. MEDP participated in the planning of IRS in these villages and communicated the spray dates and plans in-advance to the community members. Supportive supervision is being provided by MEDP using the IRS monitoring tool developed by the project. Special emphasis is being placed on strict adherence to COVID-19 social distancing and infection control protocols

June observed as malaria month in collaboration with Government of MP.
Similar to every year, the month of June was observed as the malaria prevention month in Mandla district in collaboration with the District Malaria Office, Government of MP. A malaria rath was flagged off by CMHO Mandla on June 1, 2020. This vehicle consists of audio-visual IEC/BCC messages on malaria prevention. MEDP participated in these awareness activities throughout the month. Owing to COVID-19 restriction, events such as community markets, school sessions, rallies etc. were cancelled. However, Inter-Personal Communication was used as the preferred method of malaria awareness messages while following appropriate social distancing protocols.
