Fever load estimation study started in District Hospital, Mandla
Upon the request of the CMHO Mandla, MEDP has initiated a fever case load estimation study in the District Hospital. The purpose of the study is to get an estimation of fever case load at the hospital and to test each fever case for malaria before he/she is sent to the physician. The exercise is done every week on Monday – the busiest day of the OPD. Three trained Village Malaria Workers are stationed in the OPD to capture and test each fever patient for malaria. The initial duration of the study is from June 2018 to September 2018, which can be extended, if required.
