School-level IEC BCC activities started
As per the operational plan, IEC/BCC is an integral component of the project. The project is currently employing two major IEC/BCC strategies – Haat bazaar (T4 booth) and School-level activities. This month we started our school activities. The target classes chosen for these activities is from 6th to 8th as the most appropriate age group for knowledge gathering and dissemination amongst their peers. The activity involves addressing the morning school assembly, which is done by the Malaria Field Coordinators (MFCs) and assisted by their Village Malaria Workers (VMWs). Following the school assembly, focus group IEC is done using flip books that have been developed by FDEC India. The entire field staff follows a roster with an advanced tour plan under the direct supervision of the Capacity Building Officer.
