ASHA needs assessment
As part of our commitment to the Government of Madhya Pradesh, a needs assessment for Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) was carried out with the help of ICMR-NIRTH, Jabalpur. Officials from NIRTH included Dr. M M Shukla – Scientist F, Dr. Nishant Saxena – Scientist B and Dr. A Verma – STO. The objective was to assess the knowledge, practices, and attitude of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) related to malaria. Out of total 1300 ASHAs of Mandla district, 220 were selected randomly for interviews by NIRTH and MEDP Staff in the months of June and July 2017. The analysis for the same was completed in December 2017.
